Arthur D. Campbell, 92, of Nashville, formerly of Centralia, passed away May 14, 2017 at Washington County Hospital. He was born the son of Arthur F. and Lorene (Thorpe) Campbell on June 19, 1924 in Centralia, IL. He married Esther E. Brough on October 3, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Survivors include his loving wife, Esther E. Campbell of Nashville, IL; devoted daughter, Sharon Chwascinski of Nashville, IL; grandchildren, Scott Chwascinki and wife Kim of Benton, IL, Jason Campbell and wife Kim of Florida, Traci Redman of Nashville, IL; great-grandchildren, Ashley Melvin of Herrin, IL, Justi Jackson of Coulterville, IL, Clayton, Hayden, Carson, and Jackson of Florida, Brendan Chwascinski of Benton, IL, Riley and Lilly Redman of Nashville, IL; great-great-grandchildren, Brantley and Cayden Melvin, Noble Shubert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lorene Campbell; son, Dale Campbell; son-in-law, Gary Chwascinski.

He served in the United States Navy during WW II. Arthur worked for over 25 years as salesman for Selmier Peerless. He was member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, V.F.W. Post #2055, and American Legion Post #446.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Peter United Church of Christ with Jim White officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #446 and V.F.W. Post #2055. Friends and relatives are invited for visiting hours from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church on Thursday. Memorial contributions in Arthur’s memory may be made to the St. Peter United Church of Christ or Donor’s Choice.
