Marilyn P. Walton, age 84, of Centralia, IL.,passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Centralia, IL., with her daughters by her side. Marilyn was born December 21, 1932 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of William Oren and Marjorie (Badger) Arnold. She was previously married to Roger Cohlmeyer, in which her 3 children were born of the union. She then married Charles Walton, and they later divorced.

Marilyn is survived by her loving children, Donald Roger Cohlmeyer of Barney, Georgia, Debra Lynn Wood and husband Virgil, of Datil, New Mexico, Barb Phillips and fiancée Rodney Butts of Centralia, IL. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother, Robert Arnold of Arnold, MO; Shirley Scott and husband Jack of Sandoval, IL.; and stepsisters, Marilyn, Donna (Pat), Colleen, Bonnie, and Brenda.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Dorothy Arnold, sister Margie Sanders, and brother, Lee Arnold.

Marilyn was a member of the Richview Methodist Church. She worked at LittleFuse in Centralia for 10 years, and later moved to Texas for 25 years. When she moved back to Centralia in 2008, she attended Orchardville (The Rock Church) in Centralia.
Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and her devotion and love for the Lord. She cherished the time she spent with her family and she was a blessing to all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m . Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Rock Church (515 Airport Rd.) in Centralia. Celebration of life services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Interment will follow at Richview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
