Jacob “Wayne” Conrad, 95, of Shattuc, died on May 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born the son of Fred and Beulah (Mutschler) Conrad on March 23, 1923. He married the love of his life Verma Pigg on July 11, 1942 in Old Monroe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2008.

Survivors include his devoted sister, Melba Bryant of Centralia; loving daughter Sharon Stover of Shattuc; cherished daughter-in-law, Judy Conrad of Carlyle; five treasured grandchildren; Jennifer Campbell, husband Brett of Waterloo, IL, Nicole Duncan of Moro, IL, Cyndy Fischer, husband Bob of Chesterfield, MO, Teresa Howard, husband John of Ballwin, MO, and Nick Stover of Shattuc; ten beloved great-grandchildren and one-great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his loving wife of 66 years, Verma, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Russell, Earl, and Dwight, and son Nelson on August 31, 2007.
Wayne was a lifelong farmer and member of Diamond Springs Baptist Church for over 60 yrs. He held many offices including deacon, trustee, elder, and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Farm Bureau. Wayne took great pride in his family and cherished the time he got to spend with them.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Rev. Virgil Downen and Rev. Richard Criner will be officiating with graveside services following at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Day Macz Funeral Home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that in Wayne’s memory memorial contributions be made to the Diamond Springs Baptist Church.
