Ruth Elaine (Bell) Cruse passed on to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10:35 A.M. at Fireside House in Centralia, where she had resided the past 5 years.

She has reunited with her husband of 67 years Jean L. Cruse.

Ruth was born on October 2, 1925 to Cecil L. and Mary M. (Mae) Becktell Bell in Robinson, IL. She was a 1943 graduate of Sandoval High School. She married Jean Leon Cruse on April 11, 1945 at the First Christian Church in Sandoval.

Ruth always kept herself busy with church and friends. She and Jean loved to have card parties with their friends. She loved to cook for her family. Ruth had a beautiful soprano voice and she sang for many weddings, funerals, church services and anywhere else she could. She was a member of the choir at First Christian Church in Sandoval and Centralia and also Sweet Adelines. Ruth was a member of Sandoval First Christian Church and later transferred her membership to Centralia FCC in 2007, where she was a member of CWF, serving as secretary. She was a 50 year member of Sandoval Eastern Star and a member of Grand Cross of Color of the Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Ruth worked as a telephone operator in the Sandoval telephone office, a clerk at Colonial Motel, and the Brown Shoe Factory. She then was employed by Dr. W. W. Davidson in his Sandoval office. Following his death, she went to work for Dr. Tom Martin in Centralia, until her retirement.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Diane E. Manhart of Broken Arrow, OK, and Ruth Ann Quick and husband Gary of Sandoval; her loving grandchildren, Christine Lyons and husband Chuck of Sandoval, Cynthia Barger and husband Brian of Hoffman, Danielle Faulkner and husband Jeff of Yukon, OK, Aaron Manhart and wife Vanessa of Tulsa, OK; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie Faulkner of Oklahoma City, OK, Clayton Lyons and fiancée Kalli Jo and Cameron Lyons of Sandoval, Caleb Barger of Hoffman, Anaryah Hargis, Bryson Smith and Gunnar Manhart of Tulsa, OK, and Nathalie Dietz of Lubbock, TX. She was a loving grandma to all and became known as MoMo Foof.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband Jean L. Cruse on September 24, 2012, her parents, Cecil and Mae Bell; sister, Donna Hoffmann, and in-laws Harvey and Daisy Cruse.

Celebration of life services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Centralia with Reverend Paula Comper officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest in Centralia. A visitation time will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the church in Centralia. Memorials may be made to the Jean and Ruth Cruse Scholarship through the KC Foundation and will be accepted at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
