Kenneth James Krietemeyer, 95, of Centralia passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Odin Health Care Center in Odin. He was born on June 30, 1923 the son of August and Violet (Crawford) Krietemeyer in Centralia. He married Mary Lou Knott on August 10, 1945 in Centralia and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2015.

Survivors include his loving sons, David Krietemeyer and wife Sheila of Centralia, Jim Krietemeyer and wife Judith Ann of Walnut Hill; cherished grandchildren, Christopher Krietemeyer and wife Dee of Florida, Micheal Krietemeyer and wife Mitzy of Flordia, Dion Weems and wife Reva of Irvington, Sherri Donoho and husband Perry of Salem, Vicky Weems of Washington; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Diane Rueter, Nancy Starr and husband David, Gay Knott; nephews, Leslie Grieman and wife Trish, Barry Knott and wife Penny, and Gray Knott

Along with his wife of 69 years Mary Lou Krietemeyer, Kenneth was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys Grieman and husband Elmer; sister, Mildred Beckmeyer and husband Johnny; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred Knott and wife Mary; brother-in-law, Vernie Knott; father-in-law, Alfred Knott and wife Pansy; sisters-in-law, Patricia and Emma Knott; nephew, Larvin Rueter; and grandson, Chad Timmons.

Kenneth worked at Hollywood Brands Candy Factory for over 40 years and was a farmer. He loved gardening and took great pride in the abundant harvest he and his family would enjoy from his efforts. Kenneth and his wife both liked wood crafts and sharing a meal at their favorite restaurant. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Kenneth’s honor to the First United Methodist Church in Centralia and can be accepted at the funeral home.
