Donald Ray Poole, 64, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born on December 18, 1953 the son of Louvenia Poole in Hattisburg, MS. He wasn’t married at the time of his death, but had a very special woman of 35 years, Cheryl Tabor.

Mr. Poole is survived by 2 brothers, Ronald Poole of MS, and Jesse Poole of Gulfport, MS; 2 sisters,, Mary Chapman of MS, and Lillie Rose Mullens of Dallas, TX; 13 children, Donald Poole Jr of TX, Vickie Poole-Myers and husband Marcus of MS, Hope Poole of MS, Nicole Harris of KY, Donche Harris of KY, Kendra Poole of Mt. Vernon, IL, Purnell Norris of Springfield, IL, Jeremy Moss of Centralia, IL, Deshawn Duncan of Centralia, Michael Tabor, Denisha Tabor, Jermaine Tabor, Tiffany Tabor, and Travis Tabor all of Centralia, IL; 39 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren

Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his mother, Louvenia Poole in 1990; one of his triplet brothers, Arnold Poole; and sister, Queen Ester Durr.

Mr. Poole loved to help people and would do any job anyone asked him to do. He was loved by the community and anyone he came in contact with. Mr. Poole loved his music. He loved anything he could rock his shoulders to which in turn gave him the nickname, “The Bone Crusher”. He was a strong man and a fighter and he fought to the end.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Irvin Macz Funeral Home to aid the family with funeral expenses.
