Andrew Christopher Panega, 25, of Oceanside, California, formerly of Centralia, passed away July 13, 2018. He was born May 29, 1993, the son of Charles M. and Dimitria (Campbell) Panega in Oceanside, California.

Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his father Charles Panega, wife Carrie of Centralia; mother Dimitria Panega of Centralia; brothers Charles Allen Panega, Jonathan M. Panega, sister Destiny M. Panega; step-sister Mariah Stone; paternal grandmother Phyllis Knobbe, husband Phillip; maternal grandfather Tony L. Campbell, wife Ronnie; maternal grandmother Bernadette V. Campbell; and maternal great-grandmother Mildred Culver, and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Andrew will also be fondly remembered by his good friends Stephonta Moore, Kevin Singleton, and Sohail Malik and other friends.

Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Charles F. Panega, maternal great-grandmother Rilla Campbell, cousin Ryan Hamilton.

Andrew was a 2012 graduate of Centralia High School. During his high school career, he proudly wore the Orphan jersey representing Centralia in football, wrestling, and track. After high school, he served his country by enlisting in the United States Marines. Andrew was a certified nursing assistant who was previously employed in Oceanside, California. Most recently, Andrew had a passion for spending his time outdoors either hiking or going to the beach.

This is how we would best describe our son Andrew Christopher Panega: who lived life to the fullest, energetic, and outgoing, loved to have fun, always joking around all the time, courageous, adventurous, and always asking questions about something. He had a smile that would just brighten up the room when you saw him. He loved to make everyone happy. His mother called him Curious George, because he always had to figure things out on his own. Andrew was a lovable and respectful young man, who we will miss dearly. We love you always and forever more!

Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
