Jimmie Glenn, 88, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 10, 1929 the son of Edward and Magdalene (Cunningham) Glenn in Jackson, TN. He married Margree Fowler on July 31, 1951 in Corinth, MS.

Survivors include his devoted children, Jimmy Lee Glenn of Centralia, Diann Glenn of St. Louis, Mo, Jo Ann Glenn of Centralia, Dorothy Louise Linton and husband Gary of TX, David Armond Glenn and wife Nancy of Tacoma, WA, Bobby Ray Glenn and wife Christine of Centralia, Patsi Michele Glenn of Centralia, William Morris Glenn of Chicago, and Ritchie Lee Allen Glenn of Champaign, IL; a host of precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Gladys “Sandy” Phillips; and a host of caring nieces and nephews.

Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by both his parents; wife, Margree Glenn; sisters, Ruby Glenn, Mae Lee Hill, Christine Cole, and Mary Hunt; brother, Edward Glenn Jr., and Winston Glenn.

Mr. Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He took pride in his work and truly enjoyed working hard. He retired from Swan Corporation in Centralia where he was a paint supervisor. His hobbies included playing and coaching the Swan Corporation softball team, where he was known as “ACE”. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. Mr. Glenn loved his family and cherished his time spent with them. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Centralia with Reverend Ronald Johnson, and Reverend Gary Linton officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Mr. Glenn’s honor to the Donor’s Choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
