Glenna J. Drenckpohl, 74, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 9, 1944 the daughter of Clarence Jessie Martin and Harriett Geraldine Maxfield in Centralia. She married Doug Drenckpohl on July 15, 1969 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2011.

Survivors include her devoted children, Dug Drenckpohl and wife Brandy of Odin, IL, Tammy McMeen of Centralia, IL, Jim Howe and wife Tina of Royalton, IL, and Rich Drenckpohl and wife Stacy of Kansas City Missouri; brothers, Wes Martin of Centralia, Randy Bowman of Centralia, and Bob Vensel and wife Rose of Centralia; sisters, Bette Anderson and husband Gene of Arkansas, and Paula Winkler and husband James of Centralia; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 41 years, Glenna was preceded in death by both her parents; brother, Ronald Marquis; sister, Susie Johnson; and grandson Michael Keith Tolliver.

Glenna and her husband Doug raised Glenna's sister Paula as one of their own after the sisters lost their mother. Glenna had a special, nurturing bond with nature and living things. She loved caring for her hummingbirds, horseback riding, camping and gardening. Glenna had a natural, creative talent that she used making crafts to share with those she loved. She was an amazing cook and everyone fought over her delicious, quarter-size pancakes. Closest to Glenna’s heart was her wonderful family and those times spent together were her favorite memories.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with John Willis officiating. Visiting hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Glenna’s honor to the family.
