Dorothy L. Casseday, 88, of Centralia passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on March 25, 1930 the daughter of Pete and Vera (Hall) Ferrari in Centralia. She married Robert Casseday on September 25, 1948 in Centralia and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2013.

Survivors include her treasured children, Bonnie Schwartz of St. Louis, MO, Ronald Casseday and wife Pam of Walnut Hill, IL, Alan Casseday and wife Donna of Centralia, and Peter Casseday and wife Karen of Port Charlotte, FL; 13 cherished grandchildren; 7 precious great-grandchildren; and loving brother, Danny Ferrari and wife Peg of Kincaid, IL.

Along with her husband of 64 years, Robert, Mrs. Casseday was preceded in death by both her parents, Pete and Vera Ferrari; sister, Betty Ferrari; and daughter, Donna Knolhoff.

Dorothy had a generous soul and shared this beautiful, giving spirit by volunteering as a Pink Lady at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for over 40 years. She also served as manager of the gift shop for over 20 years. Dorothy was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her family and friends will cherish all the wonderful memories they have of this special lady.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home with Reverend Sumner Morrison officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. A visitation time will be held at 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s honor to the American Cancer Association or American Heart Association.
