JoAnn Martoccio, 63, of Centralia passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 surrounded by the loving care of her family. She was born on April 20, 1955 the daughter of Nicholas and Geraldine (Freeman) Mangiolardo.

Survivors include her beloved children, Fred Venturini and wife Krissy of Aviston, and Megan Venturini and Chris Dixon of Centralia; 2 cherished grandchildren, Josie Venturini, and Noelle Venturini; brother, Brian Newson and wife Susan; sister, Rose Quandt; aunts, Babe and Flem; uncle, JoJo and wife; nieces and nephew, Kathy, Patti, and Jimmy; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas Mangiolardo; mother, Geraldine Maluchnik; step-father, Eugene Maluchnik; and brother-in-law, Ted Quandt.

JoAnn was a devout Catholic. She was an avid sports fan, cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs and making successful wagers on Sunday football. JoAnn will always be remembered for her generous spirit and her welcoming home. She truly enjoyed hosting friends and family, spoiling them with her delicious homemade gravy (spaghetti sauce). JoAnn cherished her memories at the beach during many family vacations. Everyone had a wonderful time when JoAnn was present as she was the “life of the party”. Her most treasured times were spent with her family. She adored her amazing grandchildren and loved to hear them call out, Grandma JoJo. She often told stories of her being a ballet dancer when she was younger. Her family and friends will cherish her memory and continue on her legacy of kindness and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval with Father Dale Maxfield officiating. Interment will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Rosary Service will be conducted at 4:30 P.M. at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Deacon John Hempen officiating on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to a visitation time in JoAnn’s honor from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in JoAnn’s honor to Six Lemons and will be accepted at the funeral home. Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is in charge of arrangements.
