Laurence Otto “Brutus” Milburn, 75, of Sandoval passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Odin Health Care Center. He was born on March 4, 1943 the son of Stacy and Rena (Jones) Milburn in Iuka.

Survivors include step-children, Alisha and Steve Young of Sandoval, Tonya Ray of Sandoval, Misty Huddleston of Centralia, Jack Howell of IL, Scott Howell of Centralia, and Misty Phelps of LA; several step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; brother, Dean and Myra Milburn of Salem; sisters, Bessie Milburn of Centralia, Geneva and Bob Millner of Centralia, Shirley Lewis of Centralia, and Ruth Presswood of Centralia; brothers-in-law, Eugene Boyles of Salem, and John Klanke of Xenia; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Milburn was preceded in death by both his parents; sisters, Frances and husband Bob Woodward, Bertha Boyles, Lena Klanke, and Ruby and husband Bill Ghere; and brother, George and wife Mary Milburn.

Brutus was a hard worker and good with his hands, repairing and replacing parts as a mechanic for Larry Jones’ garage in Sandoval. He loved and had a natural ability to sing and play music. Brutus could pick up any instrument and play it expertly. He was a true admirer of the outdoors, enjoying to fish and making awesome meals on the grill.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Sandoval Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Brutus’ honor to the Day Macz Funeral Home to aid the family with expenses.
