H. Eileen Coffey, 88, of Mattoon, formerly of Centralia went to her Heavenly Home Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was born on March 1, 1930 the daughter of Edgar and Hilda (Deadmond) Risinger in Odin. She married Conrad Coffey on October 23, 1978 and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2017.

Survivors include brothers, David Risinger (Marilyn) of Fort Myers, and Vernon Risinger (Patty) of South Bend; sisters, Pauline Fyke of San Antonio, and Kitty Fisher (Wilford) of Mattoon; plus many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Conrad Coffey, Mrs. Coffey was preceded in death by both her parents; brother, Edwin Risinger of Austin; and sister, Verna Berry of Odin.

Eileen graduated from Odin High School, attended Olivet Nazarene College and earned a RN degree from Kaskaskia College. She worked many years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Eileen, a devout Christian, devoted her life to serving God and was a member of the New Destiny Church of God.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen’s honor to New Destiny Church of God and will be accepted at the funeral home.
