Mrs. Barr was a faithful member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, CWF, and belonged to the Pallet and Brush Club at the Cultural Society. Marianne worked for Ritchies in downtown Centralia where returning customers would always be glad to see her, as well as a smiling dental assistant at Dr. McCall’s office, and loved helping others capture their memories as a clerk at McTall’s Photography Studio. She was a gentle soul, greeting all she met with a smile and a kind word; her grandchildren knew her as their only Granny. Marianne loved and respected her husband Bob and shared precious memories of the life they shared, especially their Sunday lunch dates at the Centralia Elks. She was known for loving all animals. Marianne was the host to all family gatherings bringing everyone together around her dinner table with her famous chocolate upside down cake.
