Kaden J. Lyons, 22, of Sandoval passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on August 15, 1997 the son of Darren and Jennifer (Jourdan) Lyons in Centralia.

Survivors that will always remember Kaden’s sweet smile include his devoted mother, Jennifer Torbeck and husband Mike of Sandoval; caring sisters, Tiffany Martinez and husband Terry of Sandoval, and Victoria Lyons of Sandoval; loving grandmother, Rose Mary Jourdan of Sandoval; grandmother Jean Torbeck; kind aunts and uncles, Annette and James Nattier, Dave and Debbie Jourdan, Julie Orrell, Mike and Kandace McCarthy, Jan and Vance Henry, Perry and Carin Jourdan, Paula Jourdan, Pat Lyons, Reggie and Susan Lyons, J.C. and Brenda Lyons, Chuck and Charlotte Lyons, Marie and Larry Miller, Anissa Lyons, Melanie Bolton, Angie and Scott Ross, Dale Lyons; Terry Torbeck, Debbie Torbeck; nephew Bo Hunter and niece Tymber Lily; several special cousins, and friends.

Kaden was preceded in death by his father, Darren Lyons; brother, Kyle Lyons; grandfathers, Perry Jourdan, and Marvin Torbeck ; grandparents, C.M. “Jim” and Mary Lyons; aunt, Catherine Kain; uncles, James Lyons, Tim McCarthy, Mitch Lyons, Marvin Torbeck, Jr.

Kaden was a 2015 graduate of Sandoval High School. He was an experienced driver and had an extreme amount of passion for driving his demo-derby car. He traveled throughout the local area, competing as his adoring fans cheered on car #T15. He also had a route in Mt. Vernon driving for the Fed-Ex company. Kaden enjoyed working for the company and shared his smile and a kind hello as he diligently delivered packages.

Kaden had a positive energy, great sense of humor, and an infectious smile that would lift others up. When you needed to laugh Kaden was the person to reach out to for support. His presence would light up a room! Kade was also a dreamer! He had goals and aspirations to move to Tennessee and start an excavating company.

Kaden was highly creative and proud to have over 35,000 followers on Tik Tok since March of 2019. This number of followers truly surprised and humbled him as he initially started his Tik Tok for amusement. Spending time with his family and friends was what Kade treasured doing the most. He was a best friend to his sisters and dearly loved his niece and nephew. Kaden’s caring personality and memory will live on with the ultimate honor that was given through organ donation.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Interment to follow at Deadmond Cemetery in Odin. A visitation time will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Kaden’s honor to Deadmond Cemetery.
