After being a homemaker, Mrs. Loomis worked in the office at Hollywood Candy Company before joining the family business, Loomis Music Center. Besides hosting their many parties and holiday gatherings over the years she still delighted in visiting her extended family, including for her birthday just last month. She and her husband traveled extensively visiting most of the U.S. states and Canadian provinces in addition to two trips to England. She enjoyed attending concerts, plays, and exhibits and was a devoted supporter of the Centralia Cultural Society and the Kaskaskia College Friends of the Fine Arts. She was also passionate about her pets and the care of animals.
