William R. “Bill” Casner, 69, of Centralia passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was born on March 4, 1951 the son of Jesse and Etta (Corrie) Casner in Salem.

Survivors that will remember Bill’s kind heart include his beloved; treasured daughter, Kimberly Casner Barr (John) of Centralia, and mother of his children Karen Hammond-Yarborugh of Centralia; 7 precious grandchildren; 9 cherished great-grandchildren; and several special nieces, and nephews; special friend, Xondra Williams of Centralia.

Mr. Casner was preceded in death by both his parents; Jesse Casner and Etta (Corrie) Barker; sister, Ricki Robinett; brother, Terry Casner; and daughters, Tami Casner, and Melinda “Chew Chew” Casner.

Bill was a hardworking truck driver for over 45 years, known by his CB handle “Rattlesnake”, and also ham radio operator. He spent many hours working in his garage, and enjoyed the sunshine while doing yardwork. Bill loved his family and spending time with his dog Zeus. Bill also was a true music lover, and liked kicking back and listening to his favorite songs. Bill’s family and friends will miss him deeply, and are so grateful for all the treasured memories they have.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Bill Casner with arrangements. Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 with Rev. Miguel Torneire at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Friends and Family are invited to visiting hours from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Bill’s honor to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
