Calvin F. Miller, 87, of Centralia, passed away at St. Louis University Hospital on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He was born the son of Chester and Gladys (Dickinson) Miller on October 30, 1932 in Centralia. On April 25, 1953 he married the love of his life, Catherine Fae Yarbrough at Camp Rucker, Alabama. She preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2002.

Calvin is survived by his two loving sons, Terry Miller and Jay Miller, wife Cindy both of Centralia; cherished grandchildren Terry Michael Miller, Jodie Alexander, husband Travis, Jona Black, and Mandy Bialek; nine treasured great-grandchildren; three caring sisters-in-law, Delores Miller, Lois Miller, and Shirley Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his wife Catherine Fae Miller, Calvin was preceded in death by both of his parents, Chester and Gladys Miller; two sisters Wanda Miller, Alice Wehrenberg; brothers Mac McKinney, Dave McKinney, L.D. Miller, Lloyd Miller, Chet Miller, Daryll “Jerry” Miller, and Clifford Miller.

Calvin served his country with honor in the United States Army stateside during the Korean War. He was a man of Christian Faith, and a strong work ethic raising his sons with the same values he respected. Calvin worked for the IC Railroad, Miller Trucking and retired from the Hollywood Candy Factory. Calvin could be found on the golf course on any sunny day. He loved his role as “Grandpa” to his grandchildren and had fond memories of traveling with his wife Fae.

Friends and family are invited from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 for a visitation at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask with limitation on the amount of people entering the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Upchurch. Memorial Contributions in Calvin’s honor are to the Centralia Relay for Life Murray Milers team.
