Randle Lamar “R.L.” Love, 92, of Centralia passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia with his family by his side. He was born on September 7, 1927 the son of Martin Randle and Carrie Mae (McClain) Love in Wair, Mississippi. He married the love of his life and best friend Helen L. Manion on December 28, 1951 in Walthaw, Mississippi. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2015.

Survivors include his beloved children, daughters Phyllis Stringham and husband Glenn of Fayetteville, Georgia and Carolsue “Susie” Terasconi and husband Richard of Deltona, Florida, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Love of Centralia and son-in-law, Larry Fisher of Marion, Illinois, devoted grandchildren, Laura Lerch and husband Steve of Marion, Illinois, Michael Fisher and wife Charlotte of Riverwood, Illinois, Leslie Longstreth and husband Jeremy of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Kevin Stringham and wife Vikki of LaGrange, Georgia, Sarah Vessell and husband Scott of Fayetteville, Georgia, Randi Terasconi and husband Matt of Deltona, Florida, and Laraine Love of St. Louis; 16 treasured great-grandchildren; 3 precious great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Steve Love, Eddie Love, Martin Love; sisters, Florence Love, Patricia Love, Shirley Love; and a host of many special nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife of 65 years, Helen Love, Randle was preceded in death by both his parents, Martin and Carrie Love; son Randle Lee Love; daughter Sally Fisher; sisters, Jo Emma Cole, Mildred Raines, Lula Mae Staggs; brothers, Gerald Love, Thomas Wayne Love, and James Love.

R.L. was a devout Christian, and member of Temple Baptist Church. R.L. had a strong work ethic which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He supported his family by being a Union Stewart for Union 19, although his true passion and talents were working on many lawnmowers and small engines in his garage. Randle enjoyed hunting local rabbits, and squirrels. He would always be found manicuring his grass and keeping up with his vegetable garden. He was a dedicated husband, making treasured memories with his wife Helen and caring for her later in life; he always bragged on her cooking. He knew what a true blessing it was to have a big family and adored being a Grandpa and Papa.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited a graveside at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 26, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in rural Sandoval with son-in-law, Rev Glenn Stringham officiating. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and abide with social distancing at the graveside. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date by the family when it is safe for everyone to gather. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in R.L.’s honor to BCMW Project B.R.E.A.D. in Centralia which R.L. found a blessing of good food and friendship in.
