Patricia Sue Lacey, 83, of Woodlawn, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Green Tree in Mt. Vernon. She was born on November 18, 1936 the daughter of Claude and Myrtle (Jackson) Pentecost in Beaumont, TX. She married her sweetheart, James Lacey on April 5, 1953 in Centralia and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2017.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Vicki Walker and husband Charles of Woodlawn; 5 precious granddaughters, Callie Walker, Amy Nesbitt and husband Tim, Lacey Skinner and husband Chad, Sydney Sparkman and husband Jason, and Brook Mueller and husband Derrick; 9 cherished great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 64 years, James Lacey, Mrs. Lacey was preceded in death by both her parents; son, James Lacey Jr., and brother, Timothy Pentecost.

Patricia and her husband, Jim were an amazing example of true partnership. They were happily married for 64 years and they owned and operated Lacey’s Hunting Club and nature preserve in Woodlawn. Through Patricia and her husband’s teamwork they had great success. Their hunting club gained notoriety with many diverse attendees from all over the world, and it was used for hosting political events and weddings. Patricia was highly intelligent and loved to explore and learn new things. She was an avid world traveler with her late husband, James enjoying safaris, and the beautiful landscape and history of places like London and Scottland. Patricia will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Patricia Lacey with arrangements. A celebration of life service was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Pastor Aaron Trotter officiating. Memorials may be made in Patricia’s honor to the donor’s choice and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home.
